It's not easy to choose the music that best represents higher expression.

 

In Gemini, the sounds are clear, bright and atmospheric. Inspired by the space age, the music in this compilation triggers memories that formed my stories involving protagonists rising above their challenges, labors or struggles. My protagonists are always flawed. They never shy away from conflict and in the face of abundant danger, they must prevail. This music expresses their feelings of perseverance -- especially in the tracks, Red Giant, Rampart, Gravity and Outré Lux, when AI threatens to make humans obsolete. The genres, ranging from early rock and roll, indie, folk and electro pop encapsulates my coming of age. Even though jazz is no longer relevant, it cannot be forgotten.

Before Apple iTunes or Spotify, I remember awkwardly sifting through vinyl albums at the Amoeba record store on overcast days in San Francisco on a steady hunt for the best before I even knew what that could sound like. Enjoy these precious gems.
