It's not easy to choose the music that best represents higher expression.
In Gemini, the sounds are clear, bright and atmospheric. Inspired by the Space Age, the music in this compilation triggers memories that formed my stories involving protagonists rising above their challenges, labors or struggles. My protagonists are always flawed. They never shy away from conflict and in the face of abundant danger, they must prevail. This music expresses feelings of perseverance -- especially in Outré Lux. Whether or not AI threatens to make humans obsolete, music might sound better without human voices. The genres, ranging from early rock and roll to indie, folk, electro pop and synth encapsulate the years of my coming of age. Even though jazz is no longer relevant, it must not be forgotten.
This compilation inspired me to create the Gemini Mind Palace, along with its dominant male and female characters.
Before Apple iTunes or Spotify, I remember sifting through vinyl albums at Amoeba on overcast days in San Francisco on a steady hunt for the best before I even knew what that could sound like. What I like most is the range of cadence in the voices featured in this music - male voices, female voices, highs and lows - all appealing, each in their own way.
The Information Age has been misdefined by mainstream promiscuity and intolerance. This music would normally be niche. Sportsmanship is the goal. When people have sportsmanship, they have morals. What happens if some of the more underrated songs become mainstream? Would listeners like it on the radio or in a podcast? Underrated songs produce underrated talent. This music speaks to me and makes me feel blessed.
